An-Dinh Nguyen (COM Grad ’07) was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in shoreline Connecticut. She studied English literature at Yale and earned a TV Production master’s at Boston University.
Ann joined Shadows in 2005 as a prospective script writer but immediately tumbled down the rabbit hole of production shoots. She worked on three episodes as a crew member (“Salesman”) and producer (“The Prisoner’s Dilemma” and “The Captives”).
Following graduation, she joined ABC Entertainment Marketing at Disney in Los Angeles. After returning to Boston at the end of 2009, she supported documentaries about classical music, jazz and Costa Rican history, plus nonfiction cable TV series for Travel Channel and Animal Planet. From 2011 to 2012, she associate produced PBS’s two-hour science special NOVA: Hunting the Elements.
Ann has worked in Boston as a freelance writer, film/TV producer, copyeditor, proofreader and researcher across educational and entertainment media. She maintains Soully Oldies, an informational website she launched in 2004 that celebrates classic Motown artists.
She currently works at Cambridge Innovation Institute as a senior associate producer and podcast content production specialist for life science and energy science events.
